Mary Magdalan Interview June 2010

With the inspiration of a woman from the Bible that never had the chance to tell her story, Mary Magdalan is using their musical abilities to tell their story. Mary sought out music as an outlet to express her emotions and life story. The music is written to put fans through intense emotions with voices echoing in your head.

As all the members are original, the band consist of Mary Magdalan, Gzus, Jizm and Eric. Mary Magdalan has been together for four years but has only been releasing their music the past three years. The musical talent is an electronic metal with disturbing vocals that poor out emotion. They expect the System of Freaks tour to come to an end the first week of July however they are scheduled to pick up another tour this summer immediately following the completion of System of Freaks.

Mary Magdalan band was very impressive as far as the family bonding you feel when visiting with them. Although many bands express being connected as a family, this band portrays themselves with togetherness that a family has for each other. Mary Magdalan is very proud to be on this tour as they have their own money invested in the System of Freaks tour.

As you can imagine being on the road can have it’s own nightmares. They laugh about it now but at the time I am sure anxiety reached a peak during the times they got lost. What a chore it must have been to turn around not only a bus but the train of vans with tailors attached. Living on a tour bus might be exciting to some but in reality living quarters are tight specially when sharing the space with several band members. Mary Magdalan still find the System of Freaks tour exciting as they visit different city and getting new fans.
