Mandy Lion Band
Mandy Lion is back…..
Starting his music career at age 11 in the Southern part of Germany, he carries on his legacy playing at Davey’s Uptown in Kansas City, Mo. Mandy Lion Band is making plans to go on tour in 2011, touring the Midwest.
At age sixteen, Mandy Lion was the vocalist for the band World War III in 1986 playing the streets of Los Angeles. It did not take long before the band was playing too sold out crowds. World War III broke the Van Halen’s attendance at the famous Gazzari’s on the Sunset Strip. By 1990 they were signed by Hollywood Records and opening for bands like Iron Maiden and at times did the headlining.
It was devastating for World War III when Steve Jones, the A&R Director put a Nazi logo on their CD. Not only was it embarrassing to be portrayed as a Nazi band but Steve spelled it wrong making the band look illiterate.
In 1994, Mandy began a new project and went on tour as Wicked Alliance. Jake E. Lee and Mandy Lion ended their work in 2003 on the Pony Canyon record label. Mandy Lion regrouped with World War III signing with Sony Records and Reality Entertainment and was back on tour.
This year Mandy Lion Band performed a set at Davey’s Uptown in Kansas City, Missouri. For those of you that have never seen Mandy Lion performed, well I would say this is a great show for the ladies. I have been to a lot of rock shows and Mandy has some moves. Just makes me curious to know if he was a Chip’n Dale dancer at one time. Ladies if you need to break away from everyday life, Mandy Lion performance would make you forget the gossip you heard that day. I considered videotaping his hip and shoulder action to see if I can get my husband to learn some new moves.
Mandy Lion fan story out beats any story I have ever heard. Talk about love and dedication, this crazy fan sent her nipple in a bottle to Mandy. Think that is crazy, the story gets better. To show her undying love for Mandy, she videotaped cutting her nipple off and sent it along with the nipple in the bottle.
Every band has a dream place to play but Mandy is more about the moment when playing at a venue. His favorite band he played with was Iron Maiden not because they are the greatest band in the world but because they were gentleman. Mandy enjoys playing with bands that personable and polite.
The moral values of Mandy Lion are altogether remarkable. Mandy is against dog fighting and his against animal abuse. Although he does not belong to any organization he enjoys performing charity events in effort to raise funds for animals.
