Back to Home!
The first band I have interviewed that was living the Rock’n Roll dream you would see in the movies.  They send out scouts into the crowd handing out VIP passes to the hottest chicks in the crowd. The onstage performance is the opening for the party of the night.  The bartender on the tour bus is the Jaguar machine.   The only thing that sucks about touring is when the ice or Jaguar run out, Mike explains.

Hinder recently worked on a new stage production so fans could get a cool visual experience.  Music is important but Hinder believes the stage performance is what keeps fans coming back.  Their music style is full of energy and emotion as they write about their experiences.

When I asked "How did the band get their name?", Mike stated it was a pretty boring story.  They were having a hard time coming up with a band name.  They looked up the word frustrated in the thesaurus and discovered the word "Hinder."

In 2004 the band album was recorded and produced in Canada at Brian Howes house.  March of 2005 the band was signed.  The band has three cd releases as a signed band.  The band members are Austin (vocals), Joe (guitar), Mark (guitar), Mike (bass) and Cody (drums).  In 2006, Hinder release the Christmas song "A Little Drummer Boy" as a Christmas gift to their fans.  The band has been experimenting with the idea of releasing another Christmas song or two.  They are tossing around the idea of creating an original Christmas song.  Mike stated that the band likes to experiment with songs while on tour.  The band is able to record their ideas on the tour bus.

Hinder’s most memorable show was in Northeast Canada where 115,000 fans were at the show.  Mike said it was a band dream to see a crowd as big as that one.  While USA and Canada are Hinder’s number one fans, they have also played in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.  Hinder was also able to perform for our men and woman in the service.  They have hopes of getting on another tour to perform for the men and women in the military.

Fans in Germany thought it was part of the stage performance but in reality it was an embarrassing moment for Hinder.  Austin standing front and center on stage when he accidentally hit Mike in the nose with the microphone.  Mike said that blood was everywhere and Germany was digging the show.

Fan question "If you had a choice of what songs you would play during the performance, what songs would you pick?"  "Lost in the Sun and Loaded" and "Alone" are the two picks they would like to play during their shows.

Hinder’s newest release is "The All American Nightmare."  Although their website is currently being remodeled, they encourage fans to keep going to www.hindermusic.com for the latest news.  They have new merchandise for sale including their new cd.  Mike would like to give a shout out to their fans and thank them for supporting Hinder.

Special thanks to Strictly Music.
