Interesting news and gossip about the Kansas City Music scene:
- California Dream II contest is coming to end. March 5th will be the final contest where the winner will be announced. Stratgazer Entertainment, Aftershock and Scantlin Entertainment would like to thank all the bands that have participated in the contest and we hope they will return for California Dream III in 2011.
- Obsidian, one of the local favorites in Kansas City, has been out on tour in 2010. Obsidian played with Tracii Guns LA Guns, Drowning Pool, Great White, Dangerous Toys, Saving Abel, Nigel Dupree and more. Their CD is available for purchase and currently is in Kansas City playing local shows to end of the year.
- Black Oxygen is back with new members. Black Oxygen will perform the National Anthem on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium before the Chiefs game with the Oakland Raiders. A sneak peak of two of Black Oxygen’s upcoming tracks “The American Dream and “Pressure” featuring Strange Music artist Kutt Calhoun; they will be played during the Chiefs game. Both tracks will be on their upcoming album “The American Dream” which is expected to be released in March.
- Miss Lady Blake is coming to her home town Kansas City. Aftershock is hosting Afroman show with Miss Lady Blake opening. Miss Lady Blake last performance in Kansas City was in 2008 in downtown Kansas City in front of “The Beast” show sponsored by Cook Entertainment and New Year Eve party at Beaumont Club. Tickets are now available.
- Scantlin Entertainment sponsored the Jiggy Jaguar show this week with special guest “Army of in Between”. Check out the link to listen to the show.
